Our children saw us working long hours to self-actualize in careers that dumped us when they needed to improve their bottom line.
Enjoy those babies because once they are teenagers, they are gone!
Last time, I posted about some of the tricky things life has in store for us as we age. We start feeling these challenges mainly between the ages of 45 to 60, give or take a few years. As I said before, it's like life is suddenly attacking you. I am about that age, so many of my friends and classmates are around the same age too. They are facing some of these challenges. Last week I discussed the challenges as your parents get old and die. I have friends wrestling with parents with amputated or soon-to-be amputated limbs, some with Alzheimer's and still others with various forms of cancer, as well as Multiple Sclerosis. The main areas I have seen challenges are parents, careers, children, and health. I will add marriage to the list. Let's talk about children today.
