I have been meeting many people who have decided to immigrate to Portugal. Some have become close friends, and I need them to know about this law that I learned about. This is not even in my book, and I may include it in a future edition. They have dreams of becoming citizens of not just Portugal but Europe in the designated time that Portugal offers—at the moment, five years. The challenge is many people I have met are paying for their new lives in this gorgeous country with military pensions, disability payments, or politician's pensions.
